”My mission is to facilitate the proclamation of the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and His Lordship from the Bible—especially in communities where Jesus is least known—by equipping pastors and Bible teachers with key tools to sharpen their skills in expository preaching. My aim is that they would study the Bible diligently, teach Jesus faithfully, and apply God’s Word meaningfully to their lives and communities.”
I have been thinking about my personal mission statement since January 2025 after reading Stephen R. Coveys The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. I have made many adjustments since I started putting to words what has always been in my heart. I have found this to be a most helpful exercise.
Thinking about my personal mission statement is especially important to me right now because I am being asked to step into a new role. I am not convinced that this new role fits into or contributes towards what I really feel is my calling.
I am praying for God’s guidance.
