Faith Growing, Waters Flowing
Greetings
The rains are finally here! After months of dry, scorching heat, Zambia is finally cooling down, and the transformation is breathtaking. Green grass and vibrant flowers are springing up everywhere, filling the air with hope and refreshing our spirits.
The past two months have been busy and we have much to be thankful for.
“Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
1 Chronicles 16:34
Discovery Bible Study: A Transformative Experience
I recently returned from Kenya, where I attended another incredible Entrust training module for women’s discipleship, focused on Discovery Bible Study. This was the third of four modules, and what an intense but rewarding journey it’s been! I feel so blessed to be part of this program. It’s deepened my understanding and equipped me to disciple others more effectively. Want to hear more about my time in Kenya? I’ve written a blog about it—please check it out!

Explore: Growing Together in Faith
We’re celebrating another milestone! Paul Ngoma, Felix Mulenga, and I completed another Explore module—and passed the exam! Praise God! Huge thanks to my handsome husband Michael, our dedicated facilitator, who’s faithfully guided us through this learning journey.

With just two modules left, we’re excited about finishing the course soon. What’s even more encouraging is how the Explore lessons often connect directly with the sermon series at Christ Church Lusaka. It’s a joy to see God weaving these truths into our daily lives and ministry.
Explore has been incredibly useful here in Zambia, helping people grow in their knowledge of the Bible and of God. The material and teaching have been deeply appreciated, and it’s exciting to see the impact it’s having on those engaging with it.
A Deep Dive into Covenant Theology

Over the past 2 months Michael has been hard at work preparing and preaching a four-part sermon series on Covenant Theology. This series ran throughout November, leading up to a special baptism service on December 1. He poured countless hours—many of them sleepless nights—into wrestling with the sheer volume of content on this important topic.
The series was designed to help our church understand the doctrine of baptism—not as something that saves but as a sign of the covenant God has made with His people and their families. This past Sunday marked the final sermon in the series, and Michael is both relieved and thankful to have completed it. Now, we’re eagerly looking forward to this Sunday’s baptism service, where 25 people, including children of believers, will be baptized. What a joyful celebration it will be!

A Growing Community
God is bringing growth to Christ Church Lusaka, and it’s an answer to prayer. Over the past two months, we’ve seen more people joining us, especially children! Each new face is a reminder of God’s grace and His work in drawing people into community. Watching our church family grow is a continuous source of joy and gratitude.

“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses
entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.”
2 Timothy 2:2
Ministry Training Strategy: Building Leaders for the Future
While I was in Kenya, Michael was kept busy here in Zambia organising the Ministry Training Strategy(MTS) program. This initiative introduces the concept of ministry apprenticeships—something new in Zambia—and also assists the local church to recruit potential apprentices.

We were privileged to have Tim Thorburn from Australia as our guest speaker. Tim has played a crucial role in helping Christ Church Lusaka develop its apprenticeship program, and we’re excited to see how this will shape the next generation of church leaders.

Waiting for Caleb
Many of you have been faithfully praying for Caleb to come home and we’re so thankful. Though there hasn’t been much progress, we’re holding on to hope and trusting God’s timing. Our heartfelt prayer is that Caleb will be home with us to celebrate his first birthday on December 5th. Please keep praying with us as we wait for God’s perfect plan to unfold.

Thank You for Walking This Journey With Us
We cannot thank you enough for your prayers, generosity, and encouragement. Your partnership means the world to us. We truly feel like we’re on this mission together, and we’re so grateful for the ways God is using your support to grow His Kingdom here in Zambia.
In September, we received a financial report from SIM showing a significant deficit in our support over the past year. If our monthly support doesn’t increase by January, our budgeted allowance will need to be adjusted to match our current income. We trust in God as our ultimate provider and believe He will work in amazing ways to meet this need. If you or someone you know feels led to partner with us through monthly support, please reach out to us or visit the support page on our website for more information. Please keep us in your prayers as we trust God to provide what we need.
Praise God For:
- The opportunity for Renee to go to Kenya for training.
- The growth in Christ Church Lusaka.
- The apprenticeship program that is helping us train Paul Ngoma in ministry full-time.
- The successful completion of another Explore module.
- The completion of the sermon series on Covenant Theology.
Pray For:
- Caleb to come home by 5 December for his 1st birthday.
- The baptism service taking place on 1 December.
- The continuing apprenticeship program with Mr. Ngoma.
- Michael and I to find time to rest and recharge over this coming month of December.
- Provision of the deficit in our monthly support.
We are missionaries serving with SIM-Zambia. We rely totally on donor support to keep us in the mission field.
