We need your support

Our partners and supporters are a crucial part in helping us achieve this goal. Together we serve to strengthen and extend Christ’s kingdom in Africa, currently serving in Zambia.

Ministry Account

We have two main missionary accounts to help us live and minister in Zambia. Money that you send to our SUPPORT ACCOUNT helps us pay rent and buy groceries. Money that you send to our MINISTRY ACCOUNT helps us pay for ministry specific expenses.

Our ministry expenses have FAR EXCEEDED what we have received for ministry. We have covered these expenses from our very limited personal funds. Please consider helping us by sending support to our ministry account.

We are called to serve in Zambia

Our calling is to serve rural pastors in Western Province

In 2020, we felt God calling to us to serve as missionaries in Zambia to help rural preachers and pastors to teach the Bible more faithfully.

After joining SIM in 2022, we were advised to stay in Lusaka for two years (2023 and 2024) to prepare our selves for rural ministry in Mongu.

While we are temporarily based in Lusaka for these 2 years we are learning the Lozi language (the major language in Mongu) and also Nyanja (the language of Lusaka). We also travel to Mongu for Vision Trips every quarter to see how we can best serve the needs in the future. This also provides great opportunities to build meaningful ministry relationships.

Michael’s passion is to help, encourage, and equip Bible teachers in rural areas (specifically Western Province, Zambia) to enhance their skills in expository preaching so that they will engage meaningfully in the Bible, study it diligently, and teach it faithfully.

Renée hopes to be teaching English lessons to improve English competency. She also has a passion for helping women to mentor and disciple other women in a meaningful way.

Our temporary work with Christ Church Lusaka

During our time in Lusaka, we have providentially been able to serve at Christ Church Lusaka.

Christ Church Lusaka is the very first Reformed Evangelical Anglican Church (REACH) in Zambia. This new church plant has many needs which we are currently able to serve with our gifts and talents. They have asked us to extend our time with them which is why we are still serving here in June 2025. However, we will be transitioning to Mongu in September.

It is a great privilege for us to be assisting this new church plant. The goal is to help Christ Church Lusaka to become well-established as the ‘mother’ church of REACH in Zambia with the result that reformed evangelical churches can be planted in all the regions and districts of Zambia.

Renee is leading the kids ministry and Michael preaches regularly, leads Bible studies, and is training up church lay leaders.

Our Foundation of Support

Tokai Community Church in Cape Town, South Africa has been our home church since 2015 and is our sending church. We are grateful for the support and leadership provided by our home church.

SIM is the mission organisation with which we are members. We joined SIM-South Africa in 2022 and were received in Zambia by SIM-Zambia in January 2023. We are grateful for the accountability, administration, and care that SIM provides for us. This helps us focus on the ministry work in front of us.
