Colossians 1:17-23 Syntax Diagram

In this SYNTAX DIAGRAM of Colossians 1:17-23 we discover not only the source of our hope, but also the MEANS by which we are RECONCILED to God – FAITH.

We are encouraged to hold on to our FAITH, not giving up believing that through Jesus we are reconciled and stand blameless before God.

This is an amazing passage of scripture as it reveals a deep mystery about how God can LOVE people like us who were “were doing evil deeds” and thereby “alienated and hostile”. It is an incredible revelation that God DOES INDEED LOVE us!

The further we progress in these Syntax Diagramming videos of Colossians, the more I am discovering about this letter. This Syntax Diagram completes the SECOND SENTENCE (Greek New Testament) in Colossians. The first sentence is from verse 3-8; the second sentence is from verse 9-23.

In the next post, we’ll complete the rest of Colossians chapter 1.

Here’s a video of me going through the Syntax Diagram

I have created this syntax video with the ENGLISH viewer in mind who may not have any (or only has a little) grasp of New Testament Greek.

You can get a free electronic copy of the Greek New Testament at www.sblgnt.com.

I have used the ESV to create this Syntax diagram.
